For the second year in a row, children in Guilford County schools who sleep on the floor will be given mattresses through a donation by Sealy to The Barnabas Network.
The “No Child Left on the Floor” campaign aims to distribute 400 mattress sets and bed frames this year to children who have been referred to The Barnabas Network by counselors in the school system and local social service agencies.
Trinity-based Sealy has donated 150 mattresses to the campaign and will provide additional mattresses at a discount. A grant from the Tannenbaum Sternberger Foundation will allow the purchase of additional bedding during the 2008-2009 school year.
